Pat Puckett

“Autumn” Oil/ 36 x 36

Growing up along the South Carolina Coast and living part-time in Key West Florida, one cannot help but be inspired by the endless backdrop of tidal creeks, salt marshes, and wetlands where freshwater and salt mix. With this being a part of everyday life, it has become the context for oil painter Pat Puckett. Pat has always been guided by a passion for lush color, design, and the ability to see beyond the ordinary, which stems from a 23-year career in Interior Design.

Interpreting the natural beauty of landscapes, seascapes, and historical locales has become the centerpiece of Pat's art. Using rich buttery oil color with bold fluid brushstrokes to capture a fleeting moment in time is Pat's focus. Along her Artistic journey, Pat has had the opportunity to study under National and International Master Painters. Her plein air adventures have taken her across the United States, Europe, and Mexico. Still, her favorite place to capture on canvas is the beautiful beaches and salt marshes near her South Carolina home.

Pat's fine art has been featured in many magazines, Galleries, and Museums across South Carolina. Art has played a role in community involvement for Pat. She has served on the Culinary Symphony and Visual Art Committees for The Pawleys Island Festival Of Music and Art and she has chaired the "Seaside Palette En Plein Air Event In Georgetown, South Carolina. Pat's fine collectible art hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Her large dramatic paintings add a timeless allure to both classic and contemporary settings.

Pat is a member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society.
